CLASS & SESSION DESCRIPTIONS
Each class will work to balance all muscle groups strength and flexibility, with an emphasis on challenging the core muscles with each movement. Classes will blend the Classical Pilates Method with exercise variations and by using props and light weights. Modifications are suggested for beginners or for those with physical limitations. Pilates mat is a doable method to sculpt your body and to feel more coordination in your every day movements.
PILATES ~ YOGA FUSION
Your choice, enjoy class from home or appreciate class in the studio. Pilates~Yoga Fusion is a complete mind-body workout. This low-impact workout will increase your fitness level, core strength, flexibility, stability, balance, and posture as you move from one exercise to the next.
The Classical Pilates Method will be practiced with exercise variations and by using props and light weights. Modifications are suggested for beginners or for those with physical limitations. Pilates mat is a doable method to sculpt your body and to feel more coordination in your every day movements.
Our practice will flow into a variety of Yoga poses while focusing on breath work and strengthening the entire body through flowing sequences and held postures.
PILATES GROUP REFORMER
The reformer offers all the benefits of Pilates including overall strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. The reformer is large enough to accommodate full-range motion, which is wonderful for increasing flexibility while building strength. The reformer's set-up for eccentric contraction is one of the keys to achieving the long, strong muscles without bulk for which Pilates is known.
Qi Gong can be described as a mind-body-spirit practice that improves one's mental and physical health by integrating posture, movement, breathing technique, self-massage, sound, and focused intent. There are likely thousands of Qi Gong styles, schools, traditions, forms, and lineages, each with practical applications and different theories about Qi (“subtle breath” or “vital energy”) and Gong (“skill cultivated through steady practice”).
YAMUNA BODY ROLLING
Using 6 to 10-inch balls, Yamuna Body Rolling™ reeducates muscles and stimulates bone, creating positive, permanent changes in the body. You will literally roll your muscles out like dough with the ball, stretching and elongating the entire body.
Gentle Yoga is a slow-paced practice combining gentle yoga poses, breath work and strengthening the entire body through flowing sequences and held postures.
This session is a one on one session customized for the individual clients needs and goals. This is a great way to get an assessment as a new client in order to decide on a program that is just right for you. Many clients also attend private sessions on an ongoing basis.
This session is customized for two students with similar needs and skill levels.
